WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool using an button, which will display a preview of the item upgrading when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item upgrader kit and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
